Beta-carotene supplement made from Dunaliella salina, a type of micro-algae found in sea salt fields. To survive the salty conditions, this micro-algae has high concentrations of beta-carotene to protect against the intense light.
WHAT IS BETA-CAROTENE?
Beta-carotene is a red-orange pigment, found in carrots and other colourful vegetables. The body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A, which makes it usable by our cells. Beta-carotene has been shown to neutralise free radicals, which can help combat natural oxidative damage.
WHAT DOES BETA-CAROTENE DAY?
Beta-carotene is a precursor to vitamin A. Vitamin A contributes towards a healthy diet in many ways. This includes the maintenance of normal skin and vision, normal function of the immune system, and the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.
