Vitamin A and vitamin D blend that provides 1000iu of vitamin A and 400iu of vitamin D3 within a vegetable capsule. Vitamin A and D work synergistically at a ratio of 25:1, which is why we have created this high-quality blend of both vitamin A and D3 in this specific ratio.
WHAT IS VITAMIN A?
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble nutrient that occurs in two forms; carotene and retinol. The carotene form of vitamin A is generally found in plant-based foods such as carrots and sweet potatoes. The human body has to convert carotene into retinol before it can be utilised by cells.
WHY WE USE VITAMIN A ACETATE?
Studies show that some individuals have a genetic variant which may cause poor conversion between the carotene and retinol forms of vitamin A. For this reason, we use a high-quality vegan vitamin A acetate in our supplement. This is a type of preformed retinol, which means it is readily available to the body as it doesn't require conversion.
WHAT IS VITAMIN D?
Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin that can either be ingested in food or manufactured by the body as a result of sunlight falling on the skin.
WHAT DOES VITAMIN A & D3 DO?
This supplement provides both vitamin A and D3, which contribute towards a healthy diet in a number of ways. Both vitamins A and D contribute to the normal function of the immune system and mucous membranes. Vitamin A also contributes towards the maintenance of normal skin and vision. Vitamin D contributes towards the maintenance of normal bones, muscle function, and teeth.
